I can't get my automatic document feeder to close properly.  It appears to be something preventing it from closing and I cannot identify and I do not want to force.  Others have had the same issue.  Please advise.  Thanks, Chris

It would help if you could post pictures.  The ADF cover pivots on hinges on the left side.  At what point does the cover meet resistance?  Take a bright flashlight and inspect the cover as you close it.  Where do you feel the resistance?  Is ADF roller position normal?  Is the separation pad in correct position?
