After loading photo or plain paper in the main tray it slides toward the front of the printer. Therefore, when printing the paper is not centered so the borders are not even. How do I fix this? When the printed page begins to come out, there is no white border on the leading edge. The border at the other end is double what it should be.  I have opened the front of the tray, using my finger, I have confirmed that the paper is all the way in and it still prints with no initial border.

@leross, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Does this happen with copying too?

Did you make any changes to the printer recently?

Refer to the document Loading Paper, Envelopes, Cards, and Photo Paper for help with loading paper.

Also, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
