Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I do not have this message until paper is placed on the feed table. I can open and close the scanner feeder cover and I also receive the message when I open the cover and it goes away when I close the cover. However, if I try to use the document feeder and insert a document into the scanner feeder I get the "Automatic Document Feeder Cover Open"  message. Moving the document into and out of the feeder causes the message to turn on or off. I can place the document directly on the scanner glass and I can scan the document so the scanner is working. The problem is only there is the feeder has a document loaded.
