Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi, I have an older HP 5200tn Laserjet and it just started to make a loud banging noise (it is coming from the back of the printer) and the ink is smeared a bit on the page.  This has never happened before and I can't fix it.  It will print, but it is not clear.  This happened all of a sudden ?  Any ideas how to fix ?  I appreciate any help.

Likely a failed fuser drive, common point of failure on these products. It smears because the fuser does not rotate consistently. The service manual does not list the gears as an available item but you might find 3rd party on Ebay.

If you remove the fuser and look on the right side of the fuser cavity and see a pile of debris that is material from the worn gears.
