Cannot get the tray to close, no paper jam, removed tray and cannot get it back in , what do I need

I needed to change the paper to larger format , so 8.5      x11 out and put the larger paper in and it said the tray was open when it was not   and it was closed but said it was open . So I took the tray out completely and put it back in but it will not close completely-- something is catching and preventing it from closing. How can I fix it?

Since this is a Hardware issue I suggest you contact HP Support in your region for Service Options

1) Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/ 
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the chat or get phone number options based on your preferences. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
