HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Printing on card stock (Southworth 65-pound with a Wove finish) burned out the paper pick-up wheels on my OfficeJet Pro 8725.  At first the printer would pick up the card stock. After about a dozen or so prints, it started printing partial pages, as if the paper pick was slipping and the page was arriving late to the printhead. The partially printed pages actually had black "wheel burn-out marks" on the backside leading edge. That is why I think the paper pick-up wheels are essentially bald and can't get traction. Now the printer won't pick up even normal copy paper. I used to work in HP printer repair, so I want to get replacement wheels. I put in a Support case and will serve time on hold for HP Support this evening. Does anyone have advice on FIXING an otherwise wonderful, dependable printer? I don't want to "replace the car" just because the "tires are bald"!

@Mister-Skip_1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer is not picking the paper and the pick up rollers are not working. Refer to the printer specifications to know the compatible paper types.

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper

The roller wheel is not a replaceable part. If the issue persists,
