Welcome to the HP Community --
Printer does not handle actual "card stock" paper.
Printer supports a light-weight card paper > Index card paper as included in the specifications.
The specifications describe the paper as "HP Card" -- it is the same as "Index" card paper.
If the paper is too heavy -- and / or not fully supported in size, type, AND weight -- the paper won't feed, might feed and jam, or perhaps manage to squeeze through and then print the content skewed, part way, in pieces, or not at all.

If the paper is supported in paper size, paper type, AND weight,
If the Paper Size / Type are not set in Tray and Paper,
The results can be similar: balking, jamming, partly printing, failing to print at all.
General Example - EWS - Tray and Paper
Your printer will be different from the example -
For example, if the printer has only one in-take tray, all supported paper sizes, types, and weights are handled in the one tray.
