Carriage Jam on Envy 6020 Printer

HP Recommended
HP Envy 6020
iOS

I have just purchased and unboxed a Envy 6020 today.

At setup i'm getting a error to say that there is a Carriage Jam. Have not got a chance to print a page yet and the video shows that I accknowledge the error, the carriage then freely moves left and right and then the same error appears and I cannot make any changes. Using the cartridges that came with the printer.

Any help please

Thanks

Hi @misterman2326,

I'd like to help!

Let's try a power reset on the printer

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Update the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Also, try the steps in the document -E4 (Paper Jam) Error

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
