I am receiving the following carriage jam message: "The print carriage cannot move. Open the cartridge access door, clear any paper jam or obstruction, and select OK". I do not see any paper jam or obstructions. I've tried resetting, changing cartridge, and still cannot figure this out. Any suggestions?

Is the carriage in the home position or in the middle of travel? It is possible that something is stuck under the carriage. If the printhead is parked on the left or right side, power off the printer and then power on. If you hear any movement of the carriage, unplug the printer. Then open the door and try to manually move the carriage and check for any obstructions. If the printhead will not move at all then the service station might be jammed, or possibly the encode strip has become detached and the printer is unable to track movement of the printhead. The encode strip is a thin mylar strip with a micro-grid printed on it that a sensor reads to track movement. It runs across the body of the printer, parallel to the drive belt.

Where is the drive belt, and how do I find it? I had to manually move the cartridges from far right to left to retrieve a jammed paper beyond it. Now the cartridges don't move on their own, and the printer is still telling me to fix a paper jam, although I have removed all the jammed papers.
