Hi @Lferranto ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer is displaying a "Carriage Jam" message but there's no visible paper jam or obstruction,
Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
- Turn off the printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. This will ensure your safety while you're checking for any obstructions.
- Open the printer cover: Open the printer cover and visually inspect the inside of the printer. Check if there's any paper or foreign objects stuck in the carriage path. Use a flashlight if necessary to see into darker areas.
- Manually move the carriage: If you can move the carriage manually, gently move it from side to side to see if it moves freely. Be careful not to force it.
- Check for small pieces of torn paper: Sometimes, small pieces of paper can get stuck inside the printer. Use a pair of tweezers or a flashlight to carefully check for any remnants of paper.
- Inspect the carriage path: Look for any debris or foreign objects that might be obstructing the carriage's movement. Dust and dirt can sometimes accumulate inside the printer and cause carriage jams.
- Reset the printer: After ensuring there are no obstructions, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and see if the error message persists. Sometimes, a simple reset can resolve temporary issues.
- Update printer firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include fixes for known issues like carriage jams.
