Good morning,
I have a problem with the carriage but can't figure out the reason for it.
The carriage moves freely in both directions.
when I turn on the printer it does the control checks and when it gets to the carriage it clicks forward and backward and tells me that the carriage is stuck
In the video I removed the cartridges but I have done multiple attempts even keeping them inserted,
I also tried doing a hard rest of the printer thinking it was a hardware problem but I did not solve the problem finally I tried cleaning with compressed air the inside of the printer especially in the carriage but always without success
how can I do ?
Thanks  😁

Use a paper towel damped in hot water and clean encoder strip, the thin plastic that is above the belt.

If that doesn't help a line sensor on a carriage probably can't read position.

thank you very much
as soon as i do the cleaning i will update you
where do i find the carriage sensor ?
i checked but i cant see it

It's on the back of the carriage, and the encoder strip ( the one you need to clean) is threaded trough the sensor.

I took the printer apart to better access the sensor and also cleaned the encoder but the printer still has the same problem
