I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e. Installed it yesterday. I hate the paper tray as it is flimsy and no way to adjust the length of the paper held in the tray! I used custom printing using paper 3in x 8 1/4in inserting it lengthwise.  It pulls and folds the first piece of paper up then prints very poorly with smudges on the next piece of paper.  I had an 8600 that I could adjust the paper in the tray... Doesn't look like there is a way to hold this paper in the correct position except for the side squeeze.  Any suggestions?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting custom printing issues, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer and setup the printer again.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

I tried the semi-full reset as instructed. It is worse than ever. Major paper jam. To try to print one check, it messed up 7 jamming the printer… I never printed as I cancelled the job.😤
