Display says: paper lam or motor defect

HP Recommended
HP OfficeJet all-in-one L511
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

While printing the printer suddenly stopped and on the display I read: paper jam or motor got locked. There was no paper jam, so it was probably the last option. After closing down the printer and starting it again, the problem remained.
When I opened the lid, the cartridges remained on the left, whereas normally they move to the centre.
What can I do to solve this nasty problem! I'm in an urgent need of a solution, please!

Francesco

@Francesco2491, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Carriage jam or E3 error

Also, check for any jams inside the printer - An 'Original Jam: Clear jam, and then press OK' Message Displays for HP Officejet 150 Mobile All-in-...

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
