HP Envy7645 Printer
Microsoft Windows Server 2016

Hello, I have an HP Envy 7645 that had a paper jam while scanning multiple pages through the feeder. I opened the scanner to pull the jammed paper out and the entire feeder detached from the machine.

I had a lot of difficulty re-attaching the scanner feeder to the top because the plastic tabs that fit into the holes on either side are not flexible.  I thought I'd finally reattached the feeder, however it no longer recognizes documents that are inserted. Also, the flatbed no longer recognizes documents to either scan or copy. So, the printer is the only thing that currently works.

If anyone has suggestions for how to fix this, I'd be grateful.

@Golden3143, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I'd firstly like to appreciate your efforts and time in trying to resolve the issue.

If you have already performed the steps from the document ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
