Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a brand new MFP 281fdw that is having an error feeding from the ADF while scanning. There is a clicking or grinding noise as it tries to feed the first page and then an error message is given saying "a scanner document feeder misfeed occurred. Clear the misfeed and try again". The rollers are brand new and clean. This seems to be a mechanical, manufacturing error, but the printer is out of warranty since we purchased it two years ago as a backup and only installed it this week.

 

Do I have any options of replacement? Please help! Thank you

HP Parts Surfer shows this part number 7KW75-60101 for a simplex ADF for the M283FDW. It is not offered through the HP parts store but there are vendors online that are selling them including on Ebay.
