@rfran027, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check for Actual Paper Jam

Even if you don't see paper visibly stuck:

Open all access panels — including front toner area, rear door, and paper tray.

Remove the toner cartridges and gently inspect the paper path and pickup rollers.

Use a flashlight to check for tiny scraps or curled edges.

Remove the paper tray and inspect the rollers underneath.

Clean the Rollers

Dust, paper debris, or humidity can cause rollers to slip.

Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol.

Clean the pickup roller and separation roller in the tray and the feed path.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
