M479
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My M479 is only two weeks old, but I've been loading paper for decades.

My Printer Status says that I am "Out of Paper" - but it's not.

I've checked for misfeeds, jams, etc, and proper loading.

Any way to make the message go away ?

Are you connecting via network or USB. If you are connecting by network and you performed an automatic installation then most likely the printer driver is configured to use a WSD port. The problem with this is that these types of ports do not update reliably when an error is resolved such as out of paper and the printer shows wrong status. For network printing the best option is to manually configure the driver to use a Standard TCP/IP port.  You may also want to disable Microsoft Print Management as it does not work reliably either.
