Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

My 8710 quit scanning in the middle of a task and shows an error message that there is a Document Feeder Jam. There is no jam and I have turned it off multiple times, cleaned the rollers, tried pushing the OK button many times - no luck.  I need instructions to get back the error message so I can reset the printer and clear the false error message.
