Envy 7640

The problem with this unit is same as or similar to other ADF jam posts (eg, 6550226, 7127320, 7822391, et al): display shows ADF jam error, but no paper is jammed, and unit will not clear with usual steps, including but not limited to examining paper path, removing power cord, updating firmware, restoring factory settings.

I would like to get the complete reset instructions as offered in posts 6917678 and 8032246.  Can someone please supply these to me for this Envy 7640?

Thanks so much,

Don't know if this will help you, but after struggling for 4 days with my HP 9015 and the ADF error that would not clear, I finally used my spray can of compressed air dust remover - and it worked! It may be worth a try since it's significantly cheaper than a new printer! I'm not a technician just an HP user looking for answers for problems.
