Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Unit displays a paper jam which it does not have. Continually prompts to clear the jam when their is none. Opening feeder as though their were a paper jam and reclosing it does not clear the display of the jam notice. Cannot scan until this is resolved.

Did you previously have a jam? It is possible that a small piece of paper is stuck  in the paper path. The best option is to floss the paper path. You do this by taking either some thin stiff cardboard (cereal box) or mylar about 1-2 inches wide and forcing it through the paper path in the direction of travel to clear any hidden jams. Only do this in the normal direction of travel to avoid damaging any flags. NEVER push the cardboard in the opposite direction as you can damage flags.

Thanks for the reply. The prompt screen shows that the paper jam is in the document feeder on the top of the unit as opposed to the paper tray unit. I did NOT have a paper jam before this started when attempting to scan a few docs. Thanks again.
