Same as a report from 05/2020:
Anytime I try to use the document feeder (ADF) for scanning or copying, I get a message that there is a jam in the feeder. It is immediate. The machine does not attempt to start the feed - the feeder doesn't even start to engage the paper. There is no jam and the rollers and trays have all been cleaned. The error cannot be cleared from the console screen; the printer must be reset by cutting power.
I have performed all the troubleshooting steps listed on the website, including upgrading firmware, the suggestions previously make on this board in answer to question with same subject. The printer prints fine wirelessly or from the glass.
Any suggestions? I am suspicious that it is a mechanical rather than software or dirt issue, but cannot see anything broken or out of alignment - don't have service schematics or a taste for taking it apart, but if someone has schematics, I'd consider it.
Thanks.
