Microsoft Windows 11

Hi

I have an HP ENVY 5000 series (5032)  that keeps telling me there is a paper jam - so far I have;

1. Switched it off and on again

2. Uninstalled and re-installed it on my Laptop running Windows 11

3. Taken it apart and back together again

4. Talked to it nicely

5. Done a Basil Fawlty on it

And it still says paper jam. HELP!!!

Basil sometimes had the right idea.  Smiling.

Known solutions are here, presented in the order to be completed:

note:
Paper jams can be real or false. The printer might report a paper jam even when there is no jammed paper. The following steps apply to both real and false paper jams.

HP DeskJet, ENVY 5000 Printers - Paper Jam Error

Note Step 5 - if you have not already included this step, do try it.

What else?

Not sure about the Envy 5000 - my OfficeJet Pro 9025 really likes to be clean and might throw a "jam" error if it thinks it is neglected in the slightest.  Opening the printer and cleaning the rollers usually puts things right.  Yes, once in a while, I've had to use the "Reset", too.

You could try different paper - yes, paper can cause the printer to throw an error.  Too Dry, Too Damp, curled, whatnot...

Make sure the paper size / type the printer thinks it needs for the current job is the paper loaded.
