HELP! PAPER PICKUP PROBLEM

HP Recommended
HP smart tank 615
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi i have my new HP smar tank 615, it has difficulties on feeding paper.

it was fine from the moment i bought it 2weeks ago, not until now.

It is either the paper keeps on jamming through the feeder or it doesnt feed at all.

already tried loading ordinary paper, sticker paper and card stocks and the promblem is still the same

i also alrdy tried the method of dampening the rollers but still no good.

i noticed when printing, the printer produces a very loud click sound, it feels like theres something breaking inside 😅

hope i can resolve this without calling for a service.

any help? thanks

@kirste14

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If the issue persists, follow next steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-smart-tank-610-wireless-all-in-one-series/18695933/model/186...

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
