Sorry, the tray has been incorrectly designed for the printer, The release button, paper size markings and the stops just are not correctly incorporated into the tray. I removed the release button and lever, adjusted the tray to fit 11' paper and used packing tape on the slide to hold it in place. It's jury rigged but it works. Engineer's ingenuity. HP messed up on the tray, it's not you.

P.S. you might have to try a few times to get the tray slid at the right length but it works.

I'll ask HP for a new and correct tray. I just need 11" paper so I'll run it 'til it catches fire:)

Please refer to the printer specifications to know to supported paper ie ad type.
