HP 9018 Access Door Locked and Won't Open

I have a paper jam and the HP 9018 access door is locked and w2il not  open.  I have turned the printer off and on and disconnected it and powered it back up many times but it will not open.  The ink cartridge door opens and I leave the scanner glass closed while I try to open the access door but it just will not open.  I have been truing it off and on for 3 days now.

I understand that your printer access door is locked, I am glad to assist you.

You might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
