My HP Envy 5032 printer has a carriage jam. The printer carriage is not able to move all the way to the left as something very solid feeling is blocking it (so not paper).

I have removed all debris from the printer after the original paper jam and tried shutting down the printer and removing the power cable etc. This has not solved the problem.

The only other thing that looks wrong is the black prongs at the top right of the attached photo stick out more than the prongs at the bottom right. The top prongs sit close to the area where the carriage gets stuck. Also the cover that sits over the top of these prongs does not snap back into place correctly. So I suspect the prongs may be the cause of the problem.

Any thoughts and ideas of how to fix the issue?  Should the prongs all align the same?

I have given the prongs a fairly sturdy push to see if they'll snap back into place, but no success.
