HP Envy 5055 Not printing on cardstock

My printer has stopped printing on cardstock. It sounds like the paper is fed, it then sounds like it is printing, but the paper gets spit out with nothing on it. Before this, the same thing would happen except the image was printed with the bottom half of the image on the very top of the paper. Now, it doesn't print anything. However, when I print the same image on plain paper, it prints just fine.

Settings incomplete or incorrect

Both Printer AND the software / application you are using must agree on the paper size & type that are to be used for the current job.

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Select / Adjust settings for Paper Size / Type

Model Dependent:  Advanced section

Click Apply to save changes

If the printer ever printed on this paper -- fully printed, and not just "half" a print,

Reset the Printer

Older printers -- or any printer that has had a lot of use -- might struggle to print on thicker paper that the printer used to handle with ease.  What?  Wear and Tear - accumulated tiny damage over the life of service, worn gears and rollers
