I have a HP ENVY Photo 6234 which is not detecting photo paper in the photo tray - I have tried with 4x6 and 5x7 and each time I put paper in it does not detect the paper when I go to print. I have tried all obvious solutions - please can someone help?

@robynanne, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print photos. Are you using HP photo papers?
- Which app are you using to print?
- Are you able to print on regular paper?
Make sure the photo papers are properly placed. Refer to - Loading Paper, Cards, Envelopes
Update the printer firmware
Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.
Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
To know how to print photos, refer to page 28 of the User guide.
Check the print settings on the app used to print. Make sure the paper type and size are correct before printing.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
