Hi

I am an avid card maker, when I enquired about this printer I was told it had a "rear feeder" to print on card, I cannot find it

Any suggestions please.

GrandmaJill

You were wrongly informed, that printer doesn't have a rear paper feed. Only a lower tray for plain/photo paper, not suitable for heavy media.

Thank you for your reply, yes, unfortunately, I have worked it out and am somewhat disappointed.  I have managed to print on 280gsm card quite successfully though, I hope it doesn't damage anything.

Hi,

Apologies for jumping in.

To clarify, your printer does support some heavier media, but does support less heavier media than described.

For Photo Paper, your printer supports 220 up to 300GSM Photo Paper.

For Card-stock however, 163 to 200 GSM is the maximum supported weight:

I do suggest using a compatible media in the future, this will unlikely cause any damage from some single jobs and surely not immediately, but will likely cause printer feed issues on the long term, so I do suggest using a supported cards and not such which are much thicker than such a printer is intended to feed.
