Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer (HP Envy 7855) was purchased last fall (2020) and suddenly stopped printing following a Windows update, a Lenovo update, and a power outage.  I have gone through all of the trouble shooting steps, including the HP scan and print doctor 5.6.1 which said I need to ensure the paper was loaded correctly and to clean the document feeder loader.  I still cannot print any documents from my computer. I can use the scan and copy features.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to print from the document feeder, follow these steps to fix the issue.

Update the printer firmware

Here are the steps:- click here

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix connectivity and printing issues.

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.

  1. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.

  2. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.

    • If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.

    • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.

  3. If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.

  4. If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.

  5. Try to print.
