Hi Community,
I am working with a HP LaserJet M607, tray 2 continues to read Tray 2 empty: Any Type, Any Size, while paper is loaded in Tray 2. Also the tray lifts just fine and shows paper in tray on outside of tray. Tray 1 works fine.
Heres what I have tried so far:
- checked the tray with a known good tray, and still get the issue.
- updated the firmware to the latest version
- installed a brand new genuine HP maintenance kit.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You.

Was there a paper jam or something done, repaired or replaced to the printer before that, or it just happened out of the blue?
I had the same issue, my fix was replacing the complete paper pickup assy.
