HP Color Laser MFP 170 series

Inside the back of the printer, when you've opened the hatch, there is only one (pale green, on the left) release catch and it only releases one of the rollers.  However, the paper jams so tight between the other rollers that you can't remove it.  This is even though the other access points have all been checked and paper removed from them.   Inside the back of the printer, Is there any additional way to release the other rollers and remove the paper ? The only option for removing tightly jammed paper seems to be to turn the machine upside down and remove the paper from underneath ?
(Usually laser printers have at least 2 release catches so you can access the jammed paper at the back. I was surprised when I found this printer only had one.)
