Product: HP OfficeJet 9012 All-in-One Printer

My printer makes noises like it wants to print but then I get an error message that says "load paper" but the tray already had paper in it. We have unplugged and restarted the printer with no change. What should I do?

If the printer paper tray is not fully locked into place in the printer, or the paper rollers are dirty the printer may not be able to properly load paper.  In this case it will give the load paper error, since it cannot tell there is paper in the printer.    

 

The troubleshooting steps in the document here may help resolve paper not being detected in your HP Officejet Pro 9012 printer.  The document here may also help, clean the rollers as shown in step 4.
