HP Office Jet 9025 paper output tray is too short to hold more than 10 pages before they fall off.

Does anyone know how to get the paper output tray on my HP Office Jet Pro 9025 to hold more than about 10 printed pages before the remainder falls on the floor? In my opinion, the 9025's paper output tray is way too short (at only about 7 inches beyond the printer) to properly handle more than 10-12 standard printed pages (whether in portrait or landscape orientation) before the subsequent pages fall on the floor. I have extended the tray to its maximum length (which as mentioned is only about 7 inches, and it is especially frustrating when even a small print job has pages that end up on the floor soon after the first few copies are printed. As an HP customer for many, many years, I have ALWAYS been satisfied with the HP  products I have owned, which include laptops, scanners, as well as several inkjet and two Laserjet printers--yet the 9025's output tray is not capable of holding more than the 10-12 sheets of letter size--and especially  legal--size paper (regardless of the printed orientation) before the remaining pages end up on the floor. This result is VERY disconcerting, especially when the pages are numbered but cannot be retrieved in a single pile unless I stand by the printer and supervise the printer's output before its page-numbered sheets fall on the floor. It should be known that I am NOT the only one that has this problem with the 9025, as it's been voiced many times on the Internet, and I must wonder what is HP going to do about it--if anything.
