Hi

I use Avery website to card Membership cards for my organization. I use Avery 5390 Name badge insert refills. Last summer I had no problem printing out 200 membership cards using Avery. Now the printer does not completely feed the paper through once it did print on it. It gives me an error jam message, but nothing is jammed just not feeding through.

I tried following HP recommendations with settings and cleaning the reprinted.

Do you have any advice for me to make this printer work again using the Avery 5390?

Thank You

Chase

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help.

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16

Let me know if this helps.

Hi

Thank you for getting back to me on this issue. I did what you suggested. It is now printing on the Avery 5390, but the paper does not feed through to be ejected out of the printer.

Is there anything I can do to fix the feeding issue?

Thanks
