HP Office Jet Pro 9015

When I want to print one page at least 5 blank pages come out of my printer before printing what I wanted to print. If I print a test page it doesnt happen but only when I am printing a word document. The paper in my tray matches the printer settings. I am at a loss as to what else to do. This did not always occur but just started.

For the Printer software recommendation ⬇️

Uninstall the printer software from Control Panel > icon view > Programs and Features

Restart the computer and log in

Download-save-install the Full Feature Software for the printer

HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software

About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full" driver set (as opposed to the basic driver).

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.

Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart continues to be stubborn).

What else?

Make sure the printer is able to do its best:

What else?

Try a different Word document.

If it is only the one document, chances are that there is something going on in the page / lines / sequencing setup.

What else?

If it is only Word documents, that is, PDF documents print as expected,

Consider repairing your Office software, or - assuming you have your license for Office - remove and reinstall the Office software.
