Operating System: macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Paper is stuck in the ADF.  I see on most printers that you can open a flap on the ADF but mine is incredibly stiff and I'm worried that this printer is different from others and that I shouldn't be trying to open this part of the printer as it isn't a flap.  I can't see any hinges that would indicate that this part would open.  Any ideas guys?
