Our printer now makes a grinding sound when it goes to start a print job and then when its moving back after finishing. It doesn't do it while its printing. After some examination it looks like there is a stop switch on the right side where the printer carriage rests. I think this has worn down to the point that the printer doesn't know the carriage has reached the end and is causing it to continue to try to move the carriage making it grind against the end of the rail.

I have no idea what that part is called or if i can even replace it. any help would be great as I can't sit here and listen to it grind anymore!
