From time to time a jam message occurs after the paper has been ejected. But there is no jammed paper in the printer.

Printer says open left cover and remove paper. You open and close the left door and prints works fine again.

I've already cleaned the transport rolls on the left side but the error is still there.

Has anyone expierence with this?

Hot dirty/dusty is the printer on the left side? You have an optical sensors that detect paper pass, if dirty they might give a wrong info.

Open the left door and look at the inside of the door, you will see a couple of mirrored stickers that reflect the light back to a sensor in the body of the printer and track movement of paper. There should be 2 on the door itself and there may be a third one at the top, where the paper turns to exit out the printer. Use a Q-tip to clean any paper debris and ink from the sensors and then try printing again.

This photo shows the general location of the sensor that is hardest to get at; In the photo you see a red circle, that is the actual sensor and mounted over top of it will be the small mirrored reflector.
