HP P3015 jams when full ream placed in tray 2

P3015 - when place a full ream (500 sheets) of 20 Lb paper into tray TWO, the printer is likely to generate paper feed  jams until a third of the ream is removed. Similarly, at least 50 sheets needs to remain as a minimum in Tray TWO, in order not to have paper jams. What is wrong with this model. Seen this problem on two different P3015 printers.

For testing purposes, you can remove the roller clean it with warm water and soap and rotate only the rubber, you will see where is worn out. The roller is D shape, and only the belly part gets used, while flat part is not used, rotate flat part to become a belly part.

Rotate so that the unworn rubber gets to the place of worn out rubber. Install back and test, if it works then new roller is fix. Rotating the rubber only is a temporary fix.
