HP pagewide pro mfp 777z doesn't detect tray 3.

At all or just paper size? Have you recently moved it or separated the main unit from the tray? There a several possible causes including a bad main board, a broken connector or a failed board in the tray itself.

At all. Tray 3 isn’t detected by the printer. When I place the drawer of tray 3 in tray 2, I can use tray 2. So the drawer itself is ok.

i bought it a couple of days ago and had to do a factory reset because off the password protection of the previous owner.
