Product: HP OfficeJet 4655 All-in-One Printer

When I was opening the main ink compartment to clear a paper jam I noticed that it was difficult to open.  Upon on further inspection I found that the right hand hinge was ajar.  When closed, I could see that the entire compartment was tilted or cantilevered and not closed properly.  It was clearly a right side hinge problem and I could see that the area under the hinge was definitely twisted.  When closed the printer will make a cranky noise and jam in the paper path. 

 

The 4650 has been a very reliable and solid printer for years.  My question is if this is a fatal flaw or can I repair it?
