HP Recommended

Just got a new in box 8015e.  Paper tray isn't able to adjust for regular letter size paper because the guide does not latch.  Because of this, printer grabs several sheets at a time & of course, there's a paper jam every time.  Have seen from the forums that this is a common issue for the last 5+ years.  By now, this should've been fixed.  Is there an easy solution to this?
