Mac VENTURA 13.3.1
It is annoying when you get a minor feed issue with paper, and then your printer gets stuck in PAPER JAM mode erroneously. I have checked everywhere for paper and am sure there is no paper jam. However, the issue started as I used lower- paper and the printer did not seem to like it. Surely, HP printers cannot detect whether you are using their own paper or not. Maybe my printer just has expensive taste, but anyways I cannot clear this message. HP is recommending buying a new printer, but I feel confident the printer is not broken and just needs this message cleared. There is far too much disposable of products at the slightest fault, and HP should be trying to "go green" and actually coming up with FIXES rather than always trying to get customers to buy new devices!!!!

Hi @elle3600,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing paper jam issues with your HP Officejet Pro 8620 E-All-In-One Printer.
Please follow the steps below to perform a reset on the unit:
1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
6. Turn on the printer and try printing.
You may also refer to the steps in this document.
Let me know if this works and have a good day.
