HP 8710 all-in-one. Says "original is jammed in the document feeder. Open the over, remove and reload the original." There is NOTHING there. I checked everywhere, I cleaned the rollers, I unplugged the machine from the wall and unplugged the cord from the back. Now I can't even make a copy or scan from the flatbed either. I tried HP support and when they did the diagnostics, they said there was a document jam in the Automatic Document Feeder, but there is NOTHING there. And now the indicator screen won't even let me make a copy. . It just has the "Original is jammed" message on it. What do I try now?

I'm afraid a sensor in the printer has gone bad.
Make sure you have performed the steps mentioned in this document - ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets
If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
