@lrubowj, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're experiencing a paper jam with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer, and you've already tried removing the jammed paper without disassembling the printer. Let's walk through some detailed steps to resolve this issue safely.
Check All Paper Path Areas
Paper jams can occur in multiple areas. Please check the following:
- Input Tray: Remove any loose paper and inspect for jammed sheets.
- Output Tray: Look for any partially fed paper.
- Rear Access Door or Duplexer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the rear access door or duplexer (if installed).
- Gently pull out any jammed paper.
- Inside the Printer (Carriage Area):
- Open the front door and check for paper around the ink cartridge carriage.
- Move the carriage gently left and right to ensure it’s not obstructed.
Use the Automatic Paper Path Cleaning Tool
Your printer has a built-in tool to help clear minor jams:
- On the printer control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Paper Path.
Reset the Printer
Sometimes a simple reset can help:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Tiny Bits of Paper
Even small scraps can trigger a jam error. Use a flashlight to inspect all areas carefully.
