Hi @Marian34,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Replacing paper rollers in an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 after removing them due to a paper jam can be a bit tricky, but here are some general steps you can try:
Ensure the Printer is Off: Before attempting any repairs or replacements, make sure the printer is powered off and unplugged from the power source for safety reasons.
Identify Correct Placement: Take note of the correct placement and orientation of the paper rollers before removing them. This will help ensure you put them back correctly.
Reinsert the Rollers: Carefully align the paper rollers back into their slots. They usually fit snugly into their designated spaces. Be gentle and avoid using excessive force, as you don't want to damage the printer components.
Check for Alignment: Once you've placed the rollers back, ensure they are correctly aligned and seated properly. They should move freely without any obstruction or misalignment.
Secure or Lock Them in Place: Some rollers may have a locking mechanism or tabs to secure them. Ensure these are properly engaged to hold the rollers in position.
Test the Printer: After reinserting the rollers, turn on the printer and perform a test print or run a paper feed test to check if the rollers are functioning correctly and paper feeds without issues.
If you find it challenging to reinsert the rollers or if something seems broken or damaged, it might be best to contact HP phone Support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
