Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

Removing paper pickup unit from HP Laserjet 4600dn printer in order to repair the defective solenoids.  To do this, must disconnect the pickup unit from the DC controller board by removing the J1020 connector.  The connector will not come loose.  Is there a way to free it?
