HP ENVY Photo 7858

I have an HP ENVY Photo printer and it constantly tells me it's out of paper! I hate this printer!! I make a lot of cards and it will not pick up the card stock and sometimes it picks up the card stock and a piece of paper so it prints on the paper. Sooooo frustrating!!!!

@Dogmom7, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the printer is not picking the paper and gives a false error.

Have you tried using just US letter-size sheets to check if that works?

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper

Make sure the media is properly seated in the input tray as shown in this document - Loading Paper, Cards, Envelopes

Also, check if the media you are using is compatible with the printer. Check the paper-handling section on the printer specification page.

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Check the print settings and make sure the correct paper type and paper size is selected. Refer to the print settings guide.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
