Hi @Mark766,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025 is indicating a paper jam but you can't find any paper stuck in the printer, here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check All Paper Paths:
- Open all doors and covers to inspect for any small pieces of paper or debris that might be causing the jam.
- Check the input tray, output tray, and the area around the printhead.
Remove the Printhead Assembly:
- Turn off the printer and open the access door.
- Gently move the printhead assembly to the center if it is not already there.
- Carefully inspect the printhead path for any obstructions.
Clean the Rollers:
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the paper feed rollers. The rollers may have accumulated dust or debris that can cause false jam errors.
Reset the Printer:
- With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and the printer.
Check for Sensor Issues:
- Sometimes, a faulty sensor can cause the printer to falsely report a paper jam. Inspect the sensors inside the printer to ensure they are not blocked or damaged.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that the printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates on the HP Support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
